Josiah has a hard life story. His father's identity is unknown. Early in his life, Josiah lived with his mother. However, three years ago, she left Josiah at his grandparents' house and has not come back. Josiah lives with his elderly grandparents and his younger brother. They live on a subsistence farm. Their only income is from what they can grow on less than an acre of land. Josiah struggles with many basic needs, including food, clothing, clean water, and school fees.
